Youth4Regions Media Programme. Get involved!

The European Commission’s Directorate General for Regional and Urban Policy wishes to encourage students in journalism to communicate on concrete projects co-funded by the European Regional Development and Cohesion Funds.

This year, and for the first time, twenty-nine students (one from each Member State and one representing European Territorial Cooperation (Interreg)) will be offered to participate in the media coverage of the major event of the year for European Cohesion Policy: the European Week of Regions and Cities taking place on 9–12 October 2017.

This competition is a real opportunity for future journalists as they shall be treated as real accredited journalists participating to this European Week!

Conditions of participation and application form for the Youth4Regions Media Programme

Deadline for applications is 30 June 5pm (Brussels time).

On top of this, the DG REGIO is organising a blogging competition as a part of the #EUinmyRegion campaign. It could be of interest for communication and/or journalism students to participate also in this competition.

The purpose is to write a blog post in any language about any EU-funded project by 27 June. All posts will be judged by an independent jury. The winners will also be invited to Brussels to attend the European Week of Regions and Cities.
