All around the European Union and in the neighbouring countries, the celebration of the European Cooperation Day takes place on the 21st of September and the surrounding days. This is a joint activity started in 2012 in order to have a more diverse and effective communication regarding the outcomes of European Territorial Cooperation.
Romanians and Serbians will meet again on 22 September 2017, in Kikinda`s City Centre, starting at 3 PM, local time, to celebrate the European Cooperation Day and the results obtained within the Romanian-Serbian cross-border cooperation programmes. We have prepared a concert with Călin Bârcean (Romania) and Milan Lepedat (Serbia). On the cooperation panel, located near the concert stage in front of Kikinda`s Museum, we will post messages submitted by citizens who live in the Romanian-Serbian cross-border area. The children will be welcomed with colored balloons and sweet surprises.
This year `To go far, go together` is the slogan which gives strength to the cooperation spirit within the European Union and beyond its borders, in the neighboring countries.
Interreg-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Romania-Serbia Programme, through its 34 projects under implementation, out of which 2 are strategic projects, contributes to the socio-economic development of the cross-border area and, in the same time, lead to increasing of the cultural communication efficiency between our two neighboring countries. All this initiatives financed by the European Union contribute to the improvement of life for the peoples who live along the border and beyond.
