176 project applications were submitted during the second call for Interreg– IPA CBC Romania-Serbia Programme
The second call for project proposals of the Interreg-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Romania-Serbia was launched on 27 November 2017.
With a budget of approximately 20 million euro, the call had a deadline for submitting projects on 24 April 2018, 16 o’clock (Romanian local time).
Under this call, projects will be financed on 4 priority axes in the fields of:
– Promoting employment and services for inclusive growth – € 6,737,774;
– Environmental protection and risk management – € 9,813,050;
– Sustainable mobility and accessibility – € 2,007,553;
– Attractiveness for sustainable tourism – € 1,717,943.
The Interreg-IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Romania-Serbia continues to fund the cross-border cooperation projects in the Romanian-Serbian border area for the 2014-2020 programming period through the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II), with the support of the European Union and the governments of the two states.
The eligible area of the Programme consists of the Timis, Caras Severin and Mehedinti counties (from Romania) and the Severno Banatski, Srednje Banatski, Južno Banatski, Braničevski, Borski, Podunavski districts (Republic of Serbia).
Romania fulfills the role of Managing Authority (through the Ministry of Regional Development, Public Administration), the National Authority being established within the Ministry of European Integration of Serbia, and the Joint Secretariat is organized in Timisoara within the Regional Office for Cross Border Cooperation Timisoara. The audit at the level of the Program is carried out by the Audit Authority within the Court of Accounts in Romania.
