The meeting is an opportunity to assess the state of implementation of the INTERREG 2014-2020 programs and to discuss some important thematic issues related to the future of the Cohesion Policy and territorial cooperation post-2020 with Managing Authorities and Joint Secretariats.
At the meeting, the European Commission representatives will present a few proposals on the future of the Cohesion Policy and the INTERREG programs, the state of implementation of the INTERREG 2014-2020 Programs, the challenges of the next programming period as well as examples of good practice in the field of communication and capitalization of project results funded by European funds.
In the framework of the workshops organized at the Interreg Annual Meeting, participants will have the opportunity to participate in three workshops on cross-border cooperation both at the internal borders of the European Union and at the external borders, as well as the possibility to discuss issues related to the implementation of the programs and the future post-2020 legislative framework.
On the afternoon of May 22, the participants will visit three successful projects in Romania funded by European funds in Giurgiu and Bucharest (Jerome Project – Romania-Bulgaria Cross-Border Cooperation Program, the Danube Stream Project – the Transnational Program Danube, “NMP-REG” Project – INTERREG Europe Program).
