The third meeting of the Joint Working Group for programming of Interreg-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Romania – Serbia Programme 2021-2027

On Thursday, 3rd of September 2020, the third meeting of the Joint Working Group for programming of Interreg-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Romania-Serbia Programme 2021-2027, took place in an online format.
During this meeting, the Concept Notes were presented for both large infrastructure projects and strategic importance projects, in order to be assessed by the members of the joint working group for programming and selected for financing under the new programme.
Moreover, the methodology for calculating lump sums (for project preparation and project closure) was approved and the timetable for thematic workshops for generating project ideas for the next programming period was agreed.
During 2021-2027 period, Romania will receive non-reimbursable EU financial assistance for the development of European territorial cooperation programmes and projects, aiming to develop the entire community territory, by encouraging cooperation and exchange of best practices between the regions of the European Union and cooperation with third countries.
In order to ensure a transparent framework for institutional collaboration, the Ministry of Public Works, Development and Administration (MPWDA) organized consultations with key stakeholders in the programme area. Also, all public interest documents regarding the future programme were published on www.romania-serbia.net website, where the concerned institutions were invited to formulate proposals or comments.
