The Joint Technical Secretariat of the Romania – Republic of Serbia IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme organized on 19 September 2014 the European Cooperation Day. Reșița Municipality from Caraș-Severin County hosted the 2014 European Cooperation Day, proudly joining the other European cities which organized the event.
Sharing borders, growing closer was the slogan of the event which gathered 2.000 participants to celebrate the Romanian-Serbian cross-border cooperation success financed by the European Union through the Romania – Republic of Serbia IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme. The event brought to the border citizens a concert by the Timisoara Banat Philharmonic Orchestra, an open air fashion parade of clothes inspired by traditional Romanian and Serbian costumes and the closing ceremony consisted of teenagers from Reșița (Romania) and Vršac (Serbia) high schools who drew their thoughts and wishes on pieces of paper buried in a time capsule which will be opened in 2044.
