Resita City Hall in partnership with Kikinda Municipality from Republic of Serbia have started the implementation of the project Common actions, common values – Resita and Kikinda together for the future implemented under the Romania – Republic of Serbia IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme.
The overall objective of the project is to achieve a sustainable and balanced socio-economic development of Resita and Kikinda Municipalities, based on joint cross-border development of the tourism in order to increase the number of tourists and to improve the economic situation of the two cities.
A website for promoting the two municipalities will be created within the project and a number of 20 info-points and electronic information panels will be placed in Resita.
The total value of the project „Common actions, common values – Resita and Kikinda together for the future” is 425,911 Euro of which 362,024.35 (85%) represents the contribution of the European Union, 34,320.52 Euro the contribution Government of Romania, 5,280.08 Euro the contribution of Resita City Council and 24,286.05 Euro the Serbian partner contribution.
